The Bachelor of Technology in Swami Devi Dyal is an

Electrical and Electronics engineering deals with the study and
application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. This field is
highly relevant in the modern world with the use of electric power in multiple
fields. Electronics is the modern offshoot of electricity and it is a vital
part of human life in the modern world. Electrical engineering has now been
subdivided into a wide range of fields relevant to the modern industry,
science, technology and even day to day life. It has vast applications in the
fields of transport, energy, healthcare, and telecommunications.
It is a very creative subject and many of our graduates in this field find employment in various professional fields. In choosing to study electrical and electronic engineering at ace, the students will benefit from excellent discipline-focused teaching. ELIGIBILITY:
1. Passed 10+2
examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.
2. Obtained 45% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics for General Category and 42.75%* for the reserve category candidates in these subjects. Else,
A. Passed Diploma examination of three years duration from an AICTE Approved institution; with at least 45% marks (42.75% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology.
B. Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (42.75% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.
C. Provided that in case of students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first Year Engineering program along with the second year subjects.
E. Provided further that students, who have passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology from an AICTE approved institution or B.Sc. Degree from a recognized university as defined by UGC shall also be eligible for admission to the first year Engineering Degree courses subject to vacancies in the first year class in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted. However, the admissions shall be based strictly on the eligibility criteria as mentioned in A, B, and D above.
Admission in
the first year of B. Tech courses is made on the basis of the result of the
entrance examinations i.e. inter merit of JEE (Mains)-2017 for B.Tech. 75% of
the sanctioned intake of admissions will be made through online/ off-campus
counseling by Haryana State Counseling Society, Haryana as scheduled by the
HSCS. The management Quota seats (25% of the sanctioned intake including 15%
seats for children/wards of NRI’s) for B.Tech Courses will be filled as
per:
1. JEE (Mains)-2017 merit ranking.
2. Merit-based on the percentage of marks in 10+2 in PCM.
