Best B.Tech Civil colleges In Haryana - Swami Devi Dyal

Civil engineering building deals with the skills and knowledge of dams, bridges, highways, water supply system, modern township, waste management and pollution prevention etc. Generally, civil engineers work in the areas such as civil designing, township planning, building inspection, construction material testing, construction project officer, etc.

Today's civil engineers need a thorough understanding of physics, mathematics, geology and hydrology. In addition to understanding these basic concepts, they also need creation-based knowledge, with the integration of such concepts and practices, engineers can design structures that meet the requirements of cost, security, reliability, sustainability and energy efficiency.

Infrastructure is, in fact, one of the fastest growing areas in India today. The emerging economy is the result of the basic structure of reform in all areas of industrialization. This program is designed to prepare highly skilled and project management professionals who fully understand the design, designing, assessment, execution and maintenance of structures.

It also connects transport infrastructure, which includes lifeline structures such as roads, airports, railways, docks and harbors, bridges, dams and canals, and water supply and sanitary units.

There are seven major, inter-related branches of Civil Engineering:

1. Transportation Engineering
The quality of a community is directly related to the quality of its transportation system.
2. Structural Engineering
Structural Engineers face the challenge of designing structures that support their own weight and the loads they carry; these structures should be in a position to resist extreme forces from wind and earthquakes
3. Urban and Community Planning
Planners are concerned with the full development of a community.
